What Is PlatON (LAT)?

PlotON (LAT) is a platform that uses blockchain and privacy-preserving computation technologies together. The platform aims to build a decentralized and collaborative Artificial Intelligence (AI) network. PlatON aims at providing a trading platform for data assets, algorithm models, and computing power. As mentioned on its website, computer interoperability is considered to be the essential feature of PlatON that permits various networks to connect and communicate with each other without any restrictions.

According to its website, the platform aims to offer the following features:

1. Empowering AI- PLatON supports AI models in achieving data access compliance while respecting data privacy.

2. Privacy Protection- PlatON offers a new computing model secured with cryptography-based privacy. Data is available but not visible with this computational technology, ensuring complete data privacy.

3. Data Rights- PlatON is based on principles of the right to be forgotten and the right to portability, conditional authorization, and minimal collection to achieve protection while securing data rights.

5. Data Circulation- A data trading market provides a secure global circulation of data assets to unleash the value of data truly.

Furthermore, PlatON seeks to offer an important component Alaya, a business sandbox, and a testing file for the next generation of financial infrastructure. A sandbox is a software testing environment that allows for the independent execution of software or programs for evaluation, monitoring, or testing.

In addition, the PlatON network consists of a secure and user-friendly mobile wallet called ATON. ATON wallet shows the balances of users' various assets and the transaction history. Users can operate transfers using the ATON wallet. Users can also make use of ATON offline.

The native token of the platform is LAT. Through the ATON wallet, users can send and receive LATs. Users can stake LAT to become PlatON validators, participate in governance, and earn rewards. Validators are chosen collaboratively by LAT holders. Validators maintain and develop the PlatON network. To become a validator in the PlatON network, the user requires a minimum staking of one hundred thousand LAT.

History of PlatON (LAT)

PlatON was founded in 2018, and Xiao Feng is the founder of PlatON. However, PlatON was initiated and directed by the LatticeX Foundation. The whitepaper V0.6.6 was launched on November 28, 2018.
