What Is Antimatter (MATTER)?
Antimatter is an Ethereum-based application designed to be the gateway of DeFi derivatives and financialNFTs. Antimatter aims to be a permission-less protocol where users can design and deploy various perpetual options. Options derivatives are complex financial products that are difficult to use and have high barriers to entry that often deter many users. Therefore, Antimatter introduced more accessible products based on the original derivatives ecosystem to serve users conveniently.
A contract that indicates the buyer has the right, not the obligation, to trade an underlying asset is known as an option. These options are also known as derivatives because they derive their value from an underlying asset. The project uses a hybrid staking model of PoW and PoSthat facilitates option market expansion and community satisfaction. As a multichain ecosystem, Antimatter is currently composed of four main products:
Dual Investment:Dual Investment is a decentralized structured product with enhanced yield, backed by options. That means users deposit currency and earn yield based on two assets with a fixed rate. For this, users need to use their crypto wallet for trading on the platform to start dual investment. The product bears several benefits, such as the advantage of DeFi and Dual Investment, easy to operate, stable and higher yields, guaranteed returns regardless of how the market goes (within a range of volatility), and flexible maturity.
Bull and Bear Tokens: The tokens are decentralized options products with no liquidation and non-oracle-based contracts. Oracle is an arbitrage activity to make sure the price of tokens follows the trend of market price movement of target assets, which is a source of many attacks. Users can trade on-chain options for trading profits or to hedge their positions. Antimatter enables to unlock of perpetual options for all cryptocurrencies.
Non-Fungible Finance: Antimatter connected DeFi with NFTs to facilitate various financial activities and store them with different locking and releasing mechanisms. Antimatter introduced two financial (https://www.coinbase.com/learn/crypto-basics/what-are-nfts#:~:text=NFTs%20(or%20%E2%80%9Cnon%2Dfungible,worth%20exactly%20the%20same%20amount.) products to expand the market - Indexes (Exchange Traded Funds) and Locker NFTs. Index (ETF) allows people to trade indexes in NFT format with a variety of underlying assets combination, while Locker NFTs can be used as a locker for crypto assets.
MATTER is a native utility token of the project that is used as the medium of exchange, secure mode of payment, and settlement between participants on Antimatter in a decentralized manner. The token also serves the function of rewarding the users by staking. Further, the token also provides economic benefits, distributed among those who contribute to and participate in the ecosystem on Antimatter. MATTER is also used as a governance token for protocol DAO management for on-chain governance, including payments for submitting a proposal or voting on a proposal.
