What Is Presearch (PRE)?

Presearch is a decentralized, community-driven search engine developed to provide users with better results while maintaining privacy and rewarding users for their searches. According to the website of the asset, Presearch was developed with the vision to compete against the monopolistic, centralized organization that presently dominates the search engine model. Further, according to the vision paper of the asset, Presearch collaborated with people worldwide to develop a decentralized and open search engine, which seeks to provide users with the following:

• A gateway for everything that the internet has to offer

• Complete control to users; to maintain their data privacy

• A possible source of earning for users based on their contribution to the Presearch ecosystem

The PRE token is the unit of account within the Presearch ecosystem and has been hosted on the Ethereum platform, represented as standard ERC-20 tokens. The token aims to serve many different utilities within the Presearch ecosystem, such as the following:

History of Presearch (PRE)

The Presearch organization was founded by Colin Pape on July 7, 2017. Pape, the CEO and founder of the organization, launched the Presearch platform for testing on November 9, 2017. The beta launch of the platform for users was made by Presearch.Org on April 9, 2018. The organization released its vision paper of the platform on October 17, 2020. The token of the Presearch platform has a maximum total supply of 500,000,000 PRE.
