What Is ODUWA (OWC)?

OduwaCoin is an open-source cryptocurrency that is created to empower the people of African descent. The network runs on its native blockchain to secure transaction records, control the creation of the additional coin, and verify the transfer of coin ownership. Also, this platform is designed to perform scalable, secure, and decentralized transactions. One of the key goals of this currency is to create an effective digital system for the indigenous African community and change the way they interact with each other and the world. 

As per its whitepaper, the coin is a method of exchange wherein personal coin ownership data are stored in a decentralized archive with the help of cryptography. Besides, Oduwacoin is dedicated to a selfless, fearless democracy, trust economy, fairness, love, and equality for all humanity. 

Currently, in the community of cryptocurrency, this is commonly considered that Proof-of-Stake hasn't proved its economic value, energy efficiency, and security over time. Hence, Oduwacoin aims to solve this problem by proving that the Proof-of-stake concept is valid and it connects with real people and has real apps in the future of the crypto world.

The platform aims to launch PoS Protocol IVIE that directly connects with people, especially the ones related to the indigenous community. The Oduwacoin is the first indigenous crypto asset that uses a pure PoS protocol, and its proposed IVIE version that intends to improve the security of this protocol.
