About

What is Emanate (EMT)?

Emanate (EMT) is an audio exchange protocol developed to help producers, distributors, and influencers in the music industry to connect through blockchain-based smart contracts. Smart contracts are just like regular contracts; however, instead of being drafted on paper, these contracts run in the form of protocols on the blockchain. According to the whitepaper, the platform drives a global revolution in music composition, monetization, and contacts. The Emanate also aims to enlarge the middle class for musicians by making an alternative music industry ecosystem and sharing human connections through music.

Interestingly, the Emanate network further seeks to solve several problems of artists, remixers, and DJs, such as uncertainties in payments for innovative works, the contractual complications associated with teamwork, and other issues in the financial process of music industries.

Further, the EMT is the cryptographic token that tends to be traded during the early stages of the Emanate development journey. The purchase of the EMT token is assumed as intent to participate hereafter in the Emanate ecosystem. The EMT token is designed so that they are helpful to the owners and grant the token holders access to the platform features. The EMT tokens are utilized for the following functions:

  • Artists publicize their music for monetization.

  • Listeners utilize the token to run through the audio.

  • Network node holders are likely to power the network; they tend to stake EMT tokens and accept the same as payment in return for the node function services.
