What IsChronicle (XNL)?

Chronicle is a marketplace and studio digital platform built for fans. Chronicle aims to become a platform committed to delivering eco-friendly non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The platform only features officially licensed digital collectibles (NFTs). Chronicle seeks to allow users to trade, bid, and gift licensed digital collectibles.

According to the whitepaper, prerequisite knowledge of how cryptocurrencies operate and high network gas fees are two common barriers to scaling digital collectibles (NFTs) to the general public. Also, the onboarding process continues to be challenging for some. Chronicle, an eco-friendly centralized platform, aims to solve several onboarding issues while rewarding users through DeFi-like strategies.

The Chronicle aims to offer features such as:

• Easy email address sign-up.

• Access to digital collectibles.

• Options to trade, bid, and gift collectibles.

• Gamification- building up a Chronicle profile.

• User-friendly experience- Each user is assigned a wallet for storing native collectibles. All the blockchains are handled on the back end. The user is not forced to learn crypto if they don't want to.

• Eco-friendly infrastructure - Chronicle is partnering with charities and building on proof-of-stake (PoS) blockchain solutions that offset carbon emissions.

  Chronicle (XNL) powers the platform and is the native cryptocurrency. XNL is an ERC-20 utility token issued on Ethereum and designed to offer rewards and incentives for the Chronicle community. The token denotes users' rights on Chronicle and is created to empower the ecosystem and governance over the community. The utilities of XNL tokens include but are not limited to the following:

• Exclusive Access (Chronicle Medals): Each user can stake XNL tokens to acquire Chronicle Medals, which relate to a user's access to different NFT drops, sales, and auctions. By staking different amounts of XNLs for different periods, users get rewarded with different rarities of Chronicle Medals (Black, Titanium, Diamond, Gold, Silver, Bronze).

• Discounts: Staking XNL tokens makes users eligible for discounts on the Chronicle Store.

• Community Governance: Users on Chronicle can use XNLs to vote for and create different proposals to guide the platform's development and decisions.

• Rewards and Bonus: Under various DeFi programs, users can take advantage of native XNL tokens to yield rewards.

• Charity and Carbon Offset: XNL tokens can be donated to approved charity partners and offset carbon emissions.

History of Chronicle (XNL)

Chronicle (XNL) was launched in 2021. The cofounders drafted the token's whitepaper, which was released on August 10, 2021. The team includes cofounders Tim Glover and Jim Jin. The executives and advisory department include Doug Neil, Fong Jek Gan, Lucas Lang, and Yemu Xu. Jack Ewins, Manuel Bejarano, Jennifer Joseph, Willa Wan, Aarom Wilson, Melissa Moyle, and Monika Tantau handle Chronicle operations.
