About Numbers Protocol

Numbers-Protocol (NUM) is a decentralized blockchain platform to create, store, access, and validate photographs and videos. The platform aims to create and maintain the authenticity of the photos and videos available on the internet and build a network where photos and videos are completely traceable and ethical. The network is built with a Web 3.0 storage application, the third generation of internet service using a machine-based understanding of data and ledger technology.

The protocol aims to minimize the damage caused by unlicensed and stolen images circulating over the internet. Users seek to validate the origin, creation certificate, photo history, and ownership of the photos and videos through the platform.

According to its whitepaper, the decentralized photo network comprises two main elements: network operators and a data library. The network operators are the individuals who provide storage services and contribute to the accessibility and trustworthiness of the photos. The validators contribute by performing integrity checks and providing additional context via a professional and social trust to seek to ensure the authenticity of photos. Moreover, the data library segment functions on Web 3.0 storage and network-chain history.

The Numbers-Protocol has NUM as its native token. NUM is a utility token that seeks to allow the token holders to create, store, and validate content ethically. The token is employed to pay for the services within the network, such as asset enrollment, marketplace listing, gaming, rewards, etc.

Bofu Chen and Tammy Yang founded Numbers-Protocol in May 2019. Chen serves as co-chief executive officer (CEO) and chief technology officer (CTO), whereas Yang works as a co-CEO and CPO at the Numbers-Protocol platform. The team includes Sofia Yan, who serves as a CGO.

The platform launched its whitepaper on November 16, 2021. The Numbers-Protocol platform has a maximum total supply of 1,000,000,000 NUM tokens.
