What Is Donut (DONUT)?

DONUT describes itself as the first mainnet Ethereum integration with Reddit, tokenized under the ERC20 standard. The principal public Ethereum production blockchain, where actual-value of transactions take place on the distributed ledger, is known as mainnet.

DONUT is also the official or native token of the /r/ethtrader category on Reddit. A /r/ethtrader is a category on Reddit for publishing news about Ethereum and Ether-related projects. Here, users can chat about Ethereum news, memes, investment, trading, and other market-related topics. Users may also earn Donuts by just engaging in /r/ethtrader and posting material.

Donut started as an essential community point token on the /r/ethtrader subreddit, but these tokens turned into ERC20 standard tokens, thus enabling users to use tokens outside the platform, such as on other exchanges. Donuts are currently traded on Uniswap, Hoo.com, and Honeyswap only. Uniswap, Hoo.com, and Honeyswap are decentralized exchanges ((https://www.coinbase.com/learn/crypto-basics/what-is-a-dex#:~:text=A%20decentralized%20exchange%20(or%20DEX,occur%20directly%20between%20crypto%20traders.&text=A%20decentralized%20exchange%20(better%20known,occur%20directly%20between%20crypto%20traders)) that enable users to trade cryptocurrencies.

DONUTS can be used to increase the weight of votes in community polls, buy special memberships, upload GIFs in comments, buy badges, and even buy the top banner. Donuts spent in this manner are burned, which means they are obliterated and removed from circulation.

Every month, donuts are automatically placed into the user's Gnosis account. Moreover, fresh DONUTS are manufactured and gifted to registered users every four weeks, depending on their contributions to the /r/ethtrader community. Donuts are provided for various reasons, including liquidity incentives, development, and subreddit moderation. When individuals receive donuts, they also earn CONTRIB in the same quantity. CONTRIB is a unique token that cannot be transferred. CONTRIB can also be used to limit specific actions to users who earned their DONUTS rather than trading them. The max supply of DONUT is 176,995,570.690 coins.
