Curecoin (CURE) is a digital token designed to reward computing power for the distributed computing networks (DCN). It uses decentralized blockchain technology to allow the exchange of Curecoins on the Curecoin network. The project seeks to create an incentive for donating computational resources to help solve medical, scientific, and mathematical problems.

According to the whitepaper, Curecoin's model is closely based on the proof-of-work (PoW) model. However, there are some differences. Curecoin aims to use an automated distribution system to reward miners who contribute computational power to select DCN(s). Next, a proof-of-stake (PoS) system is utilized to aim to reward the users who contribute to the security of the blockchain. That seeks to offer a more environmentally efficient way to secure the blockchain.

The native token of the Curecoin is called $CURE.The $CURE token's theoretical use cases are limited. Still, the token can be used for general exchange as well as exchange for goods or services. Also, users of Curecoin support citizen scientists and commercial operators of computer systems. In turn, this support contributes to the global research network. The token aims to be energy efficient by using pure proof of stake to dedicate 99.9% of electricity consumption toward medical research processing during mining. In simpler words, Coincure is a token that aims to offer value to the miners while also outsourcing the computing power to researchers and organizations who need it. And it uses a combination of PoW and PoS to secure the blockchain.

Furthermore, Curecoin boasts relatively low operating costs for autonomous blockchain systems, which means that the development of Curecoin can fund and sustain itself.

History of Curecoin (CURE)

Curecoin was launched in May 2014.Josh Smith, the founder and developer of the Curecoin project, came up with the concept in 2013. In addition, Max Sanchez is a senior developer who helped develop the project. They are also associated with Jeff Moreland, a developer and a community leader. Currently, the core team consists of seven active community members, including two active developers.
