Monsta Infinite (MONI) is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) with a turn-based card game concept that combines gaming and cryptocurrency. Monsta Infinite is a decentralized gaming universe that allows players to earn tokens through playing the game competitively or for leisure. The Monsta Infinite platform implements a play-to-earn (P2E) concept by introducing the native token $MONI. As per the whitepaper, Monsta Infinite platform seeks to solve the challenges faced by the gaming industry. The challenges include the conventional MMORPG problems of veteran players losing the competition to rich players with fewer skills; improper balancing mechanism where the game is overflowing with pets or characters; and absence of player hierarchy. Monsta Infinite intends to solve these issues by implementing:
Match-Three Puzzle System- This mechanism aims to solve the play-to-win problems in most MMORPG games. Such a system gives a competitive player an advantage over an opponent. Monsta Infinite seeks to balance how time, resources, and skills affect the gameplay.
Augmentation- The augmentation mechanism solves overpopulation, as players have to sacrifice Monsta to strengthen their Monsta team. Hence, the supply and demand of Monsta can stay balanced. With less Monsta in circulation, the team can release fresh starter Monsta.
Matchmaking and Rank- Matchmaking and rank is based on a system that considers factors such as rank, recent match results, player skill level, attributes of Monstas, and more. Such a system can allow players to matchmake with other players with similar overall capabilities.
MONI is the governance token of the Monsta Infinite gaming platform. MONI operates on the BEP-20 token standard. BEP-20 is a token standard for creating tokens on BSC. Users can claim rewards if they stake their tokens, play the game, and participate in crucial governance votes. Players can also earn MONI when playing various games within the Monsta Infinite Universe.
History of Monsta Infinite (MONI)
The idea of Monsta Infinite was conceived in February 2021. The core team of Monsta Infinite includes members from Singapore and Malaysia. Jin Tan, HK Chong, Dave, and Joshua lead the Monsta Infinite team. MONI has a total supply of 270,000,000 tokens.
