What Is NAOS Finance (NAOS)?
NAOS Finance is a blockchain-based decentralized crypto lending protocol. The platform allows users to borrow digital crypto assets by collateralizing real-world assets, aiming to connect decentralized finance (DeFi) to conventional/centralized finance. Likewise, NAOS Finance aims to engage in strategic partnerships to expand the DeFi ecosystem. The platform claims to envision a network that would enable free access to capital through a transparent and permissionless marketplace.
According to the whitepaper, the platform seeks to build a DeFi network that would enable users to access loans without intermediaries. This DeFi network aims to promote transparency in risk management and application while also trying to break geographical boundaries. NAOS Finance aims to facilitate the transfer of value from financial institutions to lenders and borrowers, providing attractive yield rates in the division. Moreover, the platform seeks to democratize the loan performance data, which, it claims, was previously closely held by conventional financial institutions. Likewise, the platform focuses on accelerating DeFi growth and expanding real-world use cases.
NAOS Protocol is the underlying protocol of NAOS Finance. The protocol consists of two sub-protocols – Formation and Galaxy. The Formation is a liquidity protocol designed to provide yield farming for the nUSD synthetic token, while Galaxy is a lending protocol that acts like a conventional banking process, allowing users to apply for loans and tokenize assets. Yield Farming is a process that helps users earn rewards for their crypto holdings.
NAOS is the native cryptocurrency of NAOS Finance. The platform uses the tokens to fuel the ecosystem growth by using NAOS for marketing, community building, operations, partnership engagements, etc.
