What Is Decentral Games ICE (ICE)?
Decentral Games ICE is a poker game on the metaverse. According to the documents of the project, Decentral Games ICE is a game where users earn cryptocurrencies by competing against each other on a daily leaderboard. The play-to-earn ecosystem on the metaverse seeks to play a crucial role in onboarding billions of people in the crypto world. The project aims to become an early gateway by empowering every person who wishes to join the community and earn while playing games. The project’s objective is to establish an ecosystem that incentivizes the players through daily game play and competition.
For participation, a user needs to obtain at least one ICE wearable. ICE wearables enable users to earn ICE, which is the native cryptocurrency of the project. ICE wearable helps users earn ICE by completing the daily challenges by playing poker by chips. Chips are non-transferable tokens with no value other than playing poker. The users are allotted chips that are required to play ICE poker.
ICE token is an in-game currency that helps in upgrading the in-game items. ICE is based on ERC 20 token standards on the Ethereum network. ICE is a utility token. A user can earn ICE tokens in ways such as competing for the daily leaderboard, delegating the non-fungible tokens (NFTs) wearables to other players for passive income, minting new NFT wearables, and trading them on the marketplace. The users also earn ICE tokens via mining to send to other players, which is required to mint rarer NFT wearables. Also, players burn ICE tokens and NFT wearables to mint new and rare NFTs. Such NFTs yield a higher ICE bonus with a higher rank. Burning is when a fraction of tokens is sent to a wallet with no private key. This means the tokens are lost forever. Tokens are usually burnt to reduce availability and increase market value.
Another token provided by the Decentral Games ICE project is the DG token. DG is a governance token. According to its website, DG token grants the community to vote in a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) manner and thereby modify economic incentives and fee structures that accrue on the ecosystem for playing games.
