Zero (ZER) is a decentralized Anonymous Payments platform that provides complete payment confidentiality in a secured network and utilizes a public blockchain. Zero aims to rely on the three fundamental principles of technological freedom: open-source code, decentralization, and true peer-to-peer technology. The trust of Zero relies on the subjective valuations of the human dependence on mathematical encryptions, algorithms, and numbers. The platform also combines Zcash’s anonymity and privacy with the security of Bitcoin. The platform combines three pillars of technology principles that display a peer-reviewed blockchain platform of integrity.

The Zero platform employs Zero-Knowledge Proof as the core of the technology. The technology allows transactions to be validated without leaking data about how many parties are involved. The platform achieves the aims of security and anonymity by implementing zk-SNARKs. zk-SNARKs is the art privacy technology based on a consensus of numbers of non-biased parties to make the platform private and secure. The platform further promotes decentralized payments with no borders and instant private and public transfers worldwide without interference and restrictions from third parties. The platform also assists people with fast, cheap transactions that can be completed within seconds, making Zero a relatively fast cryptocurrency.

ZER is the native cryptocurrency used in the ecosystem and the core of the Zero strategy. The platform created another token named Wrapped Zero (wZER). wZER aims to amplify the ZER token’s visibility functionality and allow users access to private DeFi. wZER token provides the same functionality as ZER, but the wZER token is deployed on the Binance Smart Chain network. Binance Smart Chain is a platform that facilitates decentralized and fast trading. Users have the power to swap the ZER token to wZER anytime and use it on the BSC platform. Also, the token can be swapped back at anytime.

The official whitepaper of Zero was published on May 18, 2014. The maximum supply of Zero coins is 17,000,000.
