What Is Curate (XCUR)?
Curate is a gasless, decentralized blockchain platform developed to serve as a marketplace for trading NFTs and physical goods. The term gasless blockchain signifies a platform where transaction fees are covered by the platform instead of users. According to its whitepaper, Curate also serves as a multi-chain bridge facilitating transactions between Ethereum, Bitcoin, and other blockchains. This combination of a specialized marketplace with bridging capacity allows the platform to resolve the issues that exist with other blockchain-based marketplaces.
Other blockchain-based marketplaces may include problems like lack of proper support for major blockchains with wallet capabilities, unfriendly user interface resulting in the hindrance of mass adoption, unreliable and high transaction fees that increase the barrier of entry, disorganized and unfiltered marketplace resulting in poor quality NFTs, slow transaction processing, lack of transparency, and more. Thus, Curate aims to develop a transparent, user-friendly, and fast marketplace that would facilitate trading both physical goods and NFTs on the platform.
To facilitate the transactions on the platform, Curate launched its cryptocurrency, the XCUR token. The XCUR is the native utility token of the Curate platform and is used for many different purposes within the Curate ecosystem and beyond. Some of the utilities that the token serves are:
The token is used for purchasing physical goods and NFTs on the Curate platform.
XCUR is used for rewarding the users for performing transactions on the platform.
The token can be used for staking in the DeFi partner pool and platform of Curate.
XCUR can be used on different travel products available on Travala (a blockchain-based traveling platform).
The token can be used on different global activities available on Viator (a global tourism organization).
XCUR can be used for booking flights, hotels, holidays, etc., from Expedia (another tourism portal).
The token can be used for trading with different partners of the Curate platform via Shopping.io (a platform that facilitates crypto payments for different e-commerce websites).
Besides these utilities, the token can also be used for exchanging traditional currencies and other cryptocurrencies via different partners of the Curate platform, thus allowing Curate to maintain a serene ecosystem that serves all the purposes of a marketplace.
