ResearchCoin ($RSC) is a decentralized digital asset that aspires to accelerate scientific research by rewarding users within the research community based on the perceived value of their actions within the community. Users can earn ResearchCoin by sharing, curating and discussing information on ResearchHub, a mobile and web platform for academic scientists to collaborate on research work.

Operating on a Proof of Stake consensus, ResearchCoin seeks to bring advancements to the research space by providing a secure and efficient network. Users are encouraged to actively participate in securing the network by staking their assets, eliminating the need for centralized authorities. This approach allows ResearchCoin to prioritize security and user involvement, creating an environment conducive to decentralized collaboration and information exchange among researchers.

It aims to encourage the sharing of findings, data, and methodologies. The neutral and unbiased nature of ResearchHub also positions it as a potential center for peer-reviewed publications and academic discussions, supporting the research sector's innovation and inclusivity.

ResearchCoin made a strategic shift to a Proof of Stake consensus at the end of 2022, emphasizing its commitment to sustainability and user involvement. Since then, the project has been dedicated to building a decentralized infrastructure.
