Promotion Coin (PC) is the native cryptocurrency of the Promotion Chain, a blockchain-powered platform that seeks to focus on eliminating problems facing the promotion industry. Promotion Chain seeks to decentralize promotion circles, communities, and credit systems to achieve better results for customers and promoters. The platform aims to design layout for promotion strategies to revolutionize the industry and add value to the existing promotion systems. 

According to the whitepaper, Promotion Chain intends to address four major issues with the promotion industry—low efficiency, data contamination, lack of market analysis, and lack of transparency. The platform states that these four problems have placed limitations on the industry, preventing manufacturers from acquiring authentic feedback. Therefore, the effectiveness of the promotion diminishes, resulting in unbalanced input/output ratios. Moreover, Promotion Chain states that promoters are often underpaid due to the exploitation by intermediaries, despite undertaking complicated and high-risk tasks. 

Promotion Chain seeks to decentralize the promotion industry by developing a simple ‘product-customer’ structure. The structure is targeted at the global promotion ecosystem, eliminating the need for intermediaries. Promotion Chain aims to use a six-point solution—promotion tokens and credit, decentralized Promotion Circle App, decentralized promoter communities, task boards, credit, and mining principle promotion. Using blockchain-driven solutions, Promotion Chain intends to bring control over promotional behaviors to the hands of manufacturers and promoters rather than the intermediaries. 

Promotion Coin (PC) functions as a utility token for Promotion Chain, facilitating transaction fees for the platform. Moreover, the network intends to allow the manufacturers to access the services of promoters directly using the PC tokens. The PC tokens are created using the mining technique of block creation. 

Promotion Chain was launched in 2018 as part of Coin Upz Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based company founded in December 2017. PC has a maximum total supply of 21 billion tokens, out of which 1 billion PCs are reserved for the development team, 2 billion PCs are reserved for the community, 1.5 billion for promotions, and 5 billion for infrastructure development.
