syrupUSDC is Maple Finance's yield-bearing dollar. It allows users to earn yield by depositing USDC into Maple's institutional loan book. Yield is generated from overcollateralised loans to vetted institutional borrowers, with collateral ratios consistently at 150%+. Maple also offers syrupUSDT for USDT depositors. Maple has originated over $20 billion in loans with zero losses in its secured lending portfolio since 2023.

The first two Impossible Finance products revolve around yield & autonomous community creation. Versus TradFi’s low yields, defi yield protocols have been a killer app, but impermanent loss still looms large.
