Team/ Role Paragraph:

We are looking for a seasoned Business Systems Analyst to support the Enterprise Integrations Team, gathering technical requirements at the beginning of the integration project lifecycle so that engineers don’t have to spend as much time on discovery and analysis before writing code. This person should have a passion for data and efficient execution to deliver business value by unlocking seamless and secure communications across our SaaS ecosystem and will have experience documenting functional and non-functional requirements for integration projects. A successful candidate will have previous experience reviewing PRDs, vendor API documentation, and hands-on experience capturing field mapping details.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

Analyze and document the integration requirements for enterprise systems, to ensure the delivery of system integrations, APIs, and data services that align with business objectives and expectations of business stakeholders in Finance, HR, Compliance, Customer Experience, and other business functions.
Collaborate with Product Managers, fellow Business System Analysts, and Engineers to clarify and capture the functional and non-functional integration requirements and create user acceptance testing scenarios.
Analyze and discover integration capabilities of enterprise applications using documentation, postman or soapUI, or by running SQL queries in Snowflake, Postgres or similar databases to better understand data fields, tables and columns for the purpose of designing data transformation and creating mapping specifications.
Assist in the project hand-off to the engineering teams and work with engineers to drive delivery through clear acceptance criteria in Feature Stories.
Maintain the integration catalog with definitions and data objects.
Engage with stakeholders to triage new software integration and enhancement requests.
Act with a solutioning mindset to proactively create and enhance the business capabilities provided by Coinbase business systems.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, perform the sprint reviews with stakeholders.

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

5+ years of overall experience working in complex cross functional initiatives as a Business Analyst/Product Owner with prior technical background
Experience with large scale enterprise platforms (i.e., NetSuite, Salesforce, Anaplan, Workday etc.) with in-depth understanding of how systems interface with each other (REST, SOAP, GraphQL)
Experience as an engineer preferably on iPaaS solutions such as MuleSoft, Workato or similar integration platforms and tools
Experience in ETL/data warehouse technologies and running SQL queries with the knowledge of data transformation, data mappings, and scrubbing
Experience in automating diverse business processes using Business Process Automation, Robotics Process Automation, and Generative AI
Experience in requirement gathering & analysis, translation into understandable & detailed functional requirements/non-functional requirements/user stories needed to build interfaces between systems
A great communicator and can build relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders, including both technical and non-technical partners in order to drive alignment and assess completeness of requirements information
Experience in Agile Development, Scrum & Kanban methodologies
Self starter with demonstrated ability to create order out of chaos, with great organizational skills and minimal oversight
Quick learner, and able to work in a dynamic, fast paced and often changing environment
Adapt and be effective working with local, remote, global team members in global time-zones
Ability to work on multiple features and projects in parallel

Nice to haves:

Prior experience in engineering or software developer roles
Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure, and any programming language
Advanced understanding of G-Suite, Slack, Jira, and LeanIX
Knowledgeable and passionate about cryptocurrency and blockchain
