The Coinbase Champions Cup is Here: Compete for a Share of $2M

Today, we are thrilled to announce the launch of the Coinbase Champions Cup. The Champions Cup will be our first-ever global trading competition, with more competitions planned in the coming months.
Launching from November 4 to November 25, 2026 for eligible traders across the globe, this three-week competition is hosted exclusively on Coinbase Advanced and the competition includes eligible perpetual futures, dated futures, and options markets, where available in your jurisdiction and subject to applicable eligibility requirements.
The Champions Cup represents a new era of competitive trading on Coinbase. It is directly aligned with our efforts to make Coinbase the primary financial account for traders and consumers worldwide. Our ambition is to allow users to trade stocks, crypto, options, predictions, perpetuals, pre-IPOs all in one compliant platform with one of the largest and most liquid centralized orderbooks in crypto.

The launch of the global trading competition comes after Coinbase’s in-person Coinbase Champions trading competition in Singapore on October 8th. The competition featured 10 of the best traders including Ansem (@blknoiz06), Jez (@izebel_eth), osf (@osf_rekt) and Intern (@intern), competing to win $125,000 USDC.

The global trading competition will look to build on this success as we look to explore more virtual and in-person trading competitions into 2027. In particular, high-performing traders will be considered as potential participants in future in-person Coinbase Champions events.
Dominate the Competition Across Three Leaderboards
The Coinbase Champions Cup goes beyond whoever has the most capital, instead rewarding strategy, execution, and consistency. To ensure traders of different styles can compete, we are running three parallel leaderboards. You can choose your lane, or compete to rank on multiple tracks at once:
Notional PnL: For traders who generate the highest absolute profit.
PnL Percentage (%): For highly efficient traders who achieve the best return on their investments.
Total Volume: For our most active traders dominating the order books with the highest eligible notional trading volume (US excluded).
Unlock a Growing Prize Pool
We’re introducing a community-driven prize pool that scales with you. As the total global trading volume increases across all participating regions, the prize pool unlocks—scaling up to a potential $2 Million.
The Top 3 in each leaderboard category will receive solid USDC rewards.
Ranks 4 through 100 across all categories will take home tier-based USDC rewards.
Every eligible trade you make may push you up the leaderboard but also contributes to unlocking the next prize tier for the entire global community.
How to Participate
The Coinbase Champions Cup runs for three weeks, from November 4, 2026 (00:00 UTC) to November 25, 2026 (23:59 UTC).
Getting into the arena is simple:
Register: Log into your Coinbase account and opt-in via the official competition registration page. You can register at any time, even after the competition has started.
Ensure your account is KYC verified, follow the Derivatives onboarding, and make sure you are located in an eligible region.
Trade: Execute a minimum of 100 USDC in notional volume on Coinbase Advanced perpetual futures to qualify for the leaderboards.
During the competition, you'll be able to create a custom alias to protect your privacy while you track your real-time ranking and watch the global prize pool progress bar grow.
This is Just the Beginning
This is our first global trading competition, but it certainly won't be our last. We are planning much more in the coming months to continue bringing elite traders together.

Coinbase Champions Cup is open only to eligible users in Australia, Brazil, China, Hong Kong, India, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States who have a valid, active Coinbase account, are onboarded to Coinbase Advanced perpetual futures trading with the applicable Coinbase broker entity, satisfy applicable eligibility and compliance requirements, and, except for valid mail-in entrants under Section 3.4, complete at least 100 USDC in eligible notional trading volume in designated perpetual futures markets during the the Competition Period (Nov 4 – Nov 25, 2026). The prize pool starts at $100,000 USDC and may increase based on total eligible competition volume to as much as 2,000,000 USDC.
