FLOKI is a utility token that forms the backbone of the Floki Ecosystem. This cryptocurrency was conceived by members of the Shiba Inu community and draws inspiration from Elon Musk's Shiba Inu, Floki. The token is a key component of several flagship projects within the Floki Ecosystem, including an NFT gaming metaverse called Valhalla, a suite of decentralized finance products under the "FlokiFi" umbrella, an NFT and merchandise marketplace known as FlokiPlaces, and an educational platform named University of Floki. FLOKI is a decentralized community-run project, initially launched by an anonymous developer who later abandoned the project. The community rallied, took over, and relaunched the project, making it a known player in the crypto space with over 400,000 holders in its first year.

FLOKI operates as an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum blockchain and a BEP-20 token on the Binance Smart Chain. It strives to distinguish itself from other meme coins by combining memes with utility. The long-term vision of the team is to create an autonomous and decentralized ecosystem, which includes strategic partnerships, building utility on the token itself, and developing use cases for the Floki brand through NFTs, games, and decentralized finance features. Its main product is the NFT gaming metaverse called Valhalla, where players may receive compensation for battling and trade or hold on to assets obtained in the metaverse.

FLOKI is designed to be a versatile utility token with a wide range of potential use cases. It serves as the primary currency within the Floki Ecosystem, which includes the Valhalla NFT gaming metaverse, the FlokiFi suite of decentralized finance products, the FlokiPlaces NFT and merchandise marketplace, and the University of Floki educational platform. In Valhalla, players may receive compensation and trade or hold assets, while FlokiFi offers a digital asset locker protocol. FlokiPlaces provides a platform for trading NFTs and merchandise, and University of Floki aims to educate users about cryptocurrency.

FLOKI was born out of the Shiba Inu community and was inspired by Elon Musk's Shiba Inu, Floki. After its initial launch by an anonymous developer who later abandoned the project, the community took over and relaunched FLOKI, turning it into a known player in the crypto space with over 400,000 holders in its first year. The core team, consisting of pseudonymous personalities B, Sabre, and MrBrown Whale, represents the interests of the community. The project's lead developer is Jackie Xu, a known figure in the industry who has experience in blockchain. The team has been developing Valhalla, the NFT gaming metaverse, with a team of 20 people with combined team experience.
