What Is ProximaX (XPX)?
ProximaX (XPX) is a network developed on the base configuration of the Sirius platform. This integrated combination of the network and platform is called ProximaX Sirius, a platform that aims to extend beyond traditional blockchain protocols. The platform does so by integrating distributed and decentralized storage with blockchain, streaming, contract, and database service layers available in hybrid, public, consortia, and private network configurations. This framework, in turn, makes the usability of the ProximaX much more user-friendly and structured adequately for different participants on the platform.
ProximaX aims to have multiple servers distributed in a network that follows a "hub-and-spoke." In this design, the essential component is the blockchain- the hub and spokes are the all other service layers held together by the blockchain. The hub-and-spoke design enables scalability with an aim to facilitate the addition of core services without compromising the platform's performance. Further, to support all operations on the platform, ProximaX introduced its cryptocurrency, the XPX token.
The XPX is the native and utility token of the ProximaX platform that fulfills many different utilities on the platform. XPX is used by the network contributors and solution providers to pay for the platform's multiple services such as Supercontracts, blockchain storage, and streaming. Supercontract is an enhanced smart contract solution on the platform that facilitates building digital executable contracts on top of Sirius Chain.
XPX is used to subscribe to the platform's public network in exchange for Service Units through an automated inner exchange. Service Units are comparable to a GasToken used to execute smart contracts. GasToken is an Ethereum contract allowing the users to tokenize gas on the Ethereum network.
The XPX token plays a considerable role in the proper functioning of ProximaX's ecosystem.
