What Is Cream Finance (CREAM)?
C.R.E.A.M can be defined as Crypto Rules Everything Around Me. C.R.E.A.M. Finance is a decentralized lending protocol. The platform is generally designed for institutions, people, and protocols to access financial services. A part of the yearn finance ecosystem, the platform aims to be an open-source, permissionless, and blockchain agnostic protocol. yearn.finance (YFI) is a group of protocols operating on the Ethereum blockchain; being blockchain agnostic means that different business solutions can be operated or built from different underlying blockchain technologies.
C.R.E.A.M intends to serve users on Binance Smart Chain, Ethereum, Polygon, and Fantom. Binance Smart Chain is described as a blockchain that runs parallel to the Binance Chain and boasts smart contract functionality. Smart contracts are just like regular contracts. However, instead of being drafted on paper, these contracts run in the form of protocols on the blockchain. On the other hand, Fantom is a high-throughput, fast, open-source smart contract platform for digital assets and DApps. In fact, users who are passively holding Ethereum (ETH) or Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) can put their assets in C.R.E.A.M. Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) is an ERC20token backed 1:1 with Bitcoin. Putting assets on the platform aims to help users to earn yield, similar to a traditional account.
According to the whitepaper, a DeFi token, Cream Finance (CREAM), is the native currency of the platform. Built on Ethereum blockchain, CREAM seeks to be offered to the interactors of the platform. Furthermore, the token is given by borrowing, lending, or offering liquidity. Liquidity is the proficiency with which an asset can be transformed into ready cash without influencing the market price. Above all, CREAM token holders seek to enjoy governance over C.R.E.A.M Finance and all its protocols.
The goal of the platform is to push the boundaries of DeFi. C.R.E.A.M. Finance seeks to integrate and create better protocols based on existing ones.
