Coinbase UK Launches 24/5 US Stock Trading

Stock trading is rolling out to all Coinbase users in the UK. Users can now buy, sell, and manage stocks in the same trusted app as their crypto holdings 24/5. With zero commission and fractional shares, you can start trading stocks with as little as £1. We see a future where the divide between how an investor manages traditional investments and digital assets disappears. 

How to Get Started and Product Details

As of August 6, 2026 eligible UK users will progressively gain access to select US equities, You can fund your trades instantly using both GBP and USDC, allowing users to easily fund their trades with their existing stablecoin balances, with Coinbase One members earning uncapped rewards on their USDC. 

Why 24/5 US Stock Trading Matters

Crypto markets are 24/7/365. By launching 24/5 stock trading, Coinbase is bringing more access and more hours to traditional stock trading for UK users. This is part of our long-term mission to be the place that lets users trade any asset, anywhere, at any time as the Everything Exchange.

More broadly, survey data continually shows that UK retail investors lag behind their US counterparts in terms of stock investment. We expect the increased ease and availability of US stocks through 24/5 access on the Coinbase app to increase retail participation in this asset class.
