PlaceWar (PLACE) is a decentralized strategic play-to-earn gaming platform set up on a multichain with highly engaging artillery gameplay seeking to allow players to create and design the outlook of the in-game world through building, battles, and alliance. The network aims to create a gamified and open internet culture metaverse and put the participants in control. The network aspires to be a global community for gamers and design enthusiasts, which is not just limited to the crypto space.

With an aim to be a community-driven game, the PlaceWar network allows players to participate in the content generation to customize designs of tanks, defenders, buildings, maps, or even game modes. The network also intends to encourage players to develop handy tools and software development kits to assist the purpose of customization.

Furthermore, the PlaceWar protocol has PLACE as the governance token that complies with BEP20 standard. BEP20 is a token standard for creating tokens on Binance Smart Chain or (BSC). The token aims to be utilized for staking rewards, in-game rewards and utility, and governance voting. However, the PlaceWar game also has its in-game currency token, GEAR, which aims to be utilized as a primary in-game reward token. GEAR token is also used to make in-game purchases.

Myrtle Anne founded the PlaceWar network in 2021. The PlaceWar team includes Ken Nizam serving as the CEO, Ajay Chan as lead developer, Morris Ramos as chief product officer, and Leo Liu as blockchain advisor.
