Rocki is a hybrid music streaming platform powered by blockchain technology. The platform rewards both the artists for having their music streamed and the listeners for listening to the music curated on the Rocki platform. As per the whitepaper, Rocki is created with an aim to improve the music streaming industry by removing intermediaries and bringing benefits for musicians and listeners.

Since Rocki is a user-centric platform, it uses a hybrid payment model to regularly pay artists who choose to stream their compositions on Rocki. Rocki uses a combination of the daily distribution of tokens and a monthly subscription service. The platform compensates musicians on board with a major chunk of monthly subscription revenues.

Rocki is made up of a mix of public and private blockchains. A public blockchain network is where anyone can join, and there are no restrictions on participation. In contrast, a private blockchain is where only selected members have access to the network. Rocki platform has three interactive blockchains:

ROCKI is the native token of the Rocki platform. It is an ERC20 token.

Bjorn Niclas is the founder of the Rocki platform. At the time of launch, the Rocki platform announced ROCKS as the native token. On July 10, 2021, a hacker managed to steal some of the ROCKS tokens. To stop the hacker from liquidating those assets, the company took action and created a new token contract on July 22, 2021, on the Ethereum blockchain and saved all community members from losing their tokens. The new token issued was renamed to ROCKI.

The maximum supply of ROCKI is 100,000,000 tokens.
