Midgard Online is a metaverse game built on the Avalanche Network. The ecosystem of Nine Realms includes the upcoming Midgard online role-playing game that seeks to elevate the GameFi experiences through a community-first approach. The ecosystem was built to achieve longevity and stability as a community.

Midgard Online is a nordic-themed fantasy multiplayer role-playing play-to-earn game in which players will own NFT characters. Users can upgrade their NFTs with armor, weapons, and items. Players can challenge themselves to become the best and claim their dominance. Players can form guilds and create empires, all while utilizing the economics of Asgard.

Asgard is the governance of The Nine Realms ecosystem. Asgard also introduces a citizenship concept to maintain a healthy ecosystem in which a user has to pledge 1,000 MEAD to become an “Asgardian.” As Asgard matures, the citizenship tier system may be modified as the community sees fit.

MEAD, VOLT, DRAC, and AVAX all have functions in the Nine Realms ecosystem. Thor's Mead, or MEAD, was adopted as the community’s "meme coin." MEAD is a deflationary token with an upcoming utility in the Midgard Online game. MEAD is the premium currency for Midgard. It unlocks exclusive items, it is used in special events, and it speeds up in-game actions and upgrades legendary equipment and other features.

A 6% slippage is required to transact MEAD. All MEAD have been minted. MEAD can neither be awarded in Midgard nor be earned in the game. It is meant to continue to deflate and become more valuable over time. In the deflation model, tokens are burned to reduce the circulating supply and to increase the value of the coin in the market.

Further, DRAC is the standard currency of Midgard. This token is used as part of DEX for Midgard and can also be earned in the game. DRAC is used for everyday trades and purchases in Midgard. MEAD and DRAC both share important jobs in the economy of Asgard.
