TempoDAO is a gaming token that is a fork of Olympus. The native token of TempoDAO is $TEMPO. According to the whitepaper, the developers of TempoDAO aim to make $TEMPO the reserve token for all play-to-earn games within the cryptocurrency ecosystem. TempoDAO seeks to create a gaming currency system governed primarily by policies and protocols.

The existing blockchain gaming spaces are not decentralized and often do not involve community members extensively. TempoDAO aims to change this scenario by creating a space where community members can build games on the blockchain. Furthermore, $TEMPO also aims to be a token not pegged against any traditional currencies. Therefore, rather than being pegged, $TEMPO is backed by other tokens instead. Pegging is the way of controlling a country's currency by pegging it to another country's currency.

TempoDAO also aims to create a platform where decentralized blockchain games can be built through DAOs. $TEMPO is promoted to be the main medium of exchange within this space. The currency-backed token can offer support projects that include gaming as well as the creation of NFTs.

Moreover, price consistency seeks to offer a number of benefits for the community members who stake their $TEMPO against bonds. The stakers seek to be given a fixed return in $TEMPO tokens when the bonded $TEMPO has matured. Bonding helps to create new $TEMPO by generating positive yields.

The short-term goal of TempoDAO is to create wealth and ensure growth for the community members. Moreover, the long-term end goal of $TEMPO is to create stability and consistency. This way, $TEMPO can become a standard unit of exchange on the DeFi space.
