Buying.com (BUY) is a decentralized e-commerce platform that intends to change the landscape of online shopping by focusing on hyperlocal last-mile delivery and supply logistics. It aims to provide an alternative to major e-commerce platforms by offering a multi-channel delivery network and an integrated back-office e-commerce technology. The platform uses BUY tokens, incentivizing stores and users to make payments more affordable. It also provides businesses and consumers with seamless access to real-time delivery data for tracking purposes. The platform's unique feature is its peer-to-peer pick up and drop service, which aims to provide delivery with tracking and 24/7 monitoring.

Buying.com operates by leveraging blockchain technology to create a decentralized delivery network. It allows anyone to deliver goods, similar to how ride-sharing apps allow anyone to become a driver. This approach intends to solve the last-mile logistics issue that has been a long-standing challenge in e-commerce. The platform also uses its native BUY tokens as incentives for repeat business. Transactions on the platform are auto-verified, creating a tamper-proof audit trail. This system provides businesses and consumers with real-time delivery data, which can help optimize dropshipping costs.

Buying.com has a wide range of potential use cases. It can be used by businesses to streamline their delivery process, reduce costs, and gain access to real-time tracking data. For consumers, it offers the convenience of quick local delivery and the ability to track their orders in real-time. The platform also provides a solution for smaller retailers who do not have access to vertically integrated services, enabling them to compete with larger retailers. Manufacturers can benefit from faster and more granular distribution, access to consumer markets, and drop-shipping capabilities. Online retailers can enjoy unprecedented micro-distribution, the ability to buy directly from manufacturers and wholesalers, and more affordable payments.

Buying.com was founded by Jean Marie Gabriel, a designer with a vision to change the e-commerce landscape. The platform was launched as an affiliated company to Dropshippers.com. Under Gabriel's leadership, Buying.com has grown throughout the United States, offering their delivery platforms for all businesses. The BUY token was launched on the Algorand mainnet on February 24, 2021, with a total supply of 1 billion BUY tokens. The platform's development and IT infrastructure are led by Utkarsh Khare, the Chief Technology Officer, who has over 15 years of experience in the Information and Technology industry. The platform also has a team of developers, advisors, legal counsels, and marketing heads working towards the same goal.
