Dark Matter (DMT) is a native token of the Dark Matter ecosystem. Dark Matter is a community that builds products and services in Web3. Web3 is an idea for a new version of the world wide web on blockchain technology. Dark Matter is creating teams and bringing numerous projects to life. The Dark Matter ecosystem encourages people to develop interlinked projects while allowing each project to regain independence and autonomy. The individual projects on the Dark Matter network don’t depend on each other. If the projects make a profit, the revenue is distributed to all Dark Matter Token liquidity providers. This is a way to incentivize creativity and explore new blockchain technology possibilities. Dark Matter explores the intersection of NFTs and DeFi with LARPs (live action role-playing games) and puzzles.

As per the platform’s official publishing, many of the projects created in the Dark Matter ecosystem explore the idea of NFTs. NFTs are currently one of the popular solutions which combines blockchain technology with the creative freedom of art. Dark Matter has launched a game called Mission to Marp  which allows users to earn NFTs. During Mission to Marp, users join Elob (a fictional in-game character) on his interdimensional journey and solve puzzles along with him to earn limited Dark Origins series NFTs.

To enter the Mission to Marp game, users acquire the DMT token. There are seven NFTs in the Dark Origin series. Users need two things to mint NFTs, - NaOH and Key in the wallet.

Dark Matter’s puzzles are on the knowledge of the crypto industry and its history. Development of the game is decentralized and done by volunteers. Sharkchild, a notable author, created the story for the puzzle.
