Charged Particles is a protocol that allows people to put their digital assets, even with different token standards including ERC-20, ERC-721, or ERC-1155, inside NFTs, thus, allowing users to create ‘nested NFTs’. The platform aims to become a network with core infrastructural technology in developing NFTs. Users can transform a scarce NFT into a basket holding several other tokens using Charged Particles. The platform also allows depositing assets into other users' NFTs.
The Charged Particles protocol is available as open-access smart contracts on the Ethereum and Matic blockchains. Thus, interacting with the protocol is permissionless, letting anyone build a dapp layer or communicate directly with the blockchain.
Nested NFTs enable multiple artists to collaborate on a collection, including work-in-progress images, maintain engagement with their collectors over time, deliver content gradually, distribute social tokens or other community rewards, etc.
The yield earned from the token after depositing them in yield-bearing assets represents the amount of "Charge" accumulated by the particle. Also, the protocol's use applications include governance vessel (NFTs that hold governance rights), commission-free services (0 percent fees for the musicians), gift baskets, company promotional NFTs (custom-designed NFTs filled with company's tokens and optionally time-locked), and yields from art, etc.
IONX is the ecosystem's native governance token. Any changes proposed for the protocol are voted on by token holders. Proposals include adjusting contract configuration values to adjust the protocol deposit fee, implementing scaling solutions, adjusting third-party integration fees, registering, etc.
