SPARKS (SPARK) is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) that strives to develop user-centric, self-sovereign identity tools. The SPARKS DAO ecosystem is built around an Identity App and service layer, providing user-centric, un-siloed, fee-less, and encrypted identity functionality. The organization also introduces two main types of services: common good services and revenue-generating services. The former seeks to benefit humanity, promoting social welfare, digital equality, and privacy, while the latter aims to ensure sustainable resourcing for the organization's operations.

SPARKS operates without a central authority or leader, relying instead on a decentralized governance system. The community is supported by the SPARKS Foundation and guided by the SPARKS DAO through proposal resolutions. The organizational structure consists of "Sub-DAOs" or "Guilds," groups of members who come together to work on specific functions, service, or products. Guilds aligned to the purpose may seek support with Foundation grants and are created or dissolved through resolutions, enabling the community to efficiently contribute to operations and development. The SPARKS token is a non-financial token that represents voting rights and decision-making power in the SPARKS DAO community.
