Centric Swap is a blockchain-based protocol that aims to address the price volatility problem of cryptocurrencies. The decentralized model followed by most cryptocurrencies has led the assets to be traded unregulated and hence, prone to manipulation, making demand change a significant factor affecting the price stability of these digital assets. Centric Swap attempts to create a stable scenario for the crypto space to realize the real value of blockchains. Centric Swap uses Centric Rise as its native currency. The CNR (CNR) is traded on the Centric payment network. According to the whitepaper, Centric Rise is to have a stable exchange rate against a commonly accepted traditional currency. Thus, Centric Swap follows a model that is similar to institutionally regulated monetary policy. 

Centric Swap (CNS) is the token used by the Centric ecosystem as a common medium of exchange. The token is not similar to any traditional currency or digital asset. Moreover, CNS is also compatible with existing cryptocurrency ecosystems. Thus, the token also provides liquidity for the Centric payment network. The token is developed to provide utility in a bigger ecosystem. Through partnerships and collaborations, Centric Swap aims to create a space where Dapps and services can use the CNS token. 

Centric manages the price of CNS so that it increases over time. Using a two-token system, Centric employs autonomous feedback mechanisms to balance demands. The dynamics of this system ensure the rate of return for CNR is maintained; while also assisting in making CNS more stable.

The idea for CNS was conceived in 2017. The dual-token system was adopted in 2021. Centric is led by CEO Joel Clelland, COO Thomas Butcher, and other members. The maximum supply of the CNR currency is fixed at one billion.
