Neko is the experimental network of Maze protocol. Maze is the decentralized universal money market that aims to enable zero-interest lending wherein lenders can donate funds into the pools of assets from which borrowers can set up loans.
The primary aim of Neko is to testify the viability of the product in the real world provided controllable risks. Neko also seeks to be a trial platform for longer-term innovative functions in the future. As an experimental platform, Neko’s function is relatively centralized.
Neko Core decentralized application (DApp) offers the core attributes of the money market, which are liquidation, loans, and supply. There are creditors, debtors, and liquidators. The Reserve Pools produce cross-chain transferring rights, while on the other hand, the Funding Pools produce local-chain borrow credits. Both these pools offer passive income in the form of NEKO tokens. The debtor is funded by the protocol issuing zero-coupon bonds. The Treasury is responsible for the borrowing charge on zero-coupon bonds.
Moreover, there is a Neko Council dApp, which offers supportive functions related to the money market, such as data analysis, revenue sharing, and governance. Neko Terminal dApp offers the cross-chain extracting right transfer capacity based on the liquidity of the Reserve Pool and NEKO token's atomic migration service.
The NEKO token is considered a farming token, having no predetermined cap. The NEKO token is an ERC20 and a BEP20 token. BEP20 token is a token standard built on the Binance smart chain. The production of NEKO tokens depends on users claiming events on the protocol. The token also stabilizes users to claim pre-minted tokens in the farming contract.
Users can supply assets to obtain NEKO tokens and borrow assets without paying any interest.
The team of NEKO tokens deposits a specific amount of the new tokens into the Neko or Maze protocol and later turns it into the initial farmer of their NEKO tokens.
