Meong Token (MEONG) is a utility meme token that encourages users to participate in art and social programs. Meme tokens are tokens inspired by a joke or meme on social media. The art movement involves non-fungible token (NFT)-based artwork where the sale of an NFT gets distributed between the artist, the associated social foundation, and project development. At the same time, social programs focus on preserving wildlife, especially feral cats. The project collaborates with local, national, and international communities concerned with such programs. The token also helps users earn rewards by playing and winning the games offered on the platform. According to the whitepaper, the Meong token aims to build a way to generate wealth while remaining concerned about the environment and social issues.

The DeFi ecosystem of the token involves the Meong swap protocol where users can exchange cryptocurrency. The protocol also facilitates automated transactions between cryptocurrencies through smart contracts. The Meong wallet on the ecosystem allows users to send, receive, and store MEONG tokens. Users can receive transactions through the public key and send crypto assets using the private key. Moreover, Meong farming on the ecosystem allows users to stake or lend cryptocurrency to earn high returns.

MEONG is the ticker of the Meong token that runs on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC). The users can use the MEONG token within the entire ecosystem. Further, the team at Meong token burned 30.7% of the total supply. Burning means sending tokens to a wallet with no private key to intentionally remove the tokens from the supply permanently. Such a process usually reduces the availability of tokens and increases their market value.

The Meong Token project came into existence in July 2021. The project CEO has more than ten years of experience in IT service management, project management, and mainframe application development. Additionally, the CEO has been an active trader of cryptocurrency since 2015. The maximum total supply of the Meong token is one quadrillion MEONG.
