The platform aims to provide affordable liquidity among decentralized and centralized exchanges. Integral is decentralized finance (DeFi) primitive that seeks to execute large orders efficiently. In simple terms, the project intends to capture the segment of large client trading volume for DeFi. Integral also intends to develop a competitive market clearing functionality allowing people to bid on providing market-making strategies.
Automated market maker (AMM) is a system seeking to offer liquidity to the exchange that operates through automated trading. Integral aims to create a liquidity-rich environment by mirroring order-book and AMM from centralized and decentralized exchanges. Further, the platform aims to build components that empower the DeFi and design AMM behavior by identifying three components: 1) price, 2) liquidity shape, and 3) pool asset reserves. Liquidity is a process whereby an asset can be transformed into ready currency without influencing the market price. Thus, Integral is a collective effort to seek to make DeFi better at its core.
The Integral Governance token or Integral (ITGR) is the native currency of the platform. According to the whitepaper, the token allows the Integral community to own and govern the Integral protocol. All Integral protocol values seek to get collected to the ITGR token holders. Furthermore, all protocol profits like trade commissions and exchange fees also seek to go to ITGR holders. The Integral token can also be earned through staking. The yield seeks to come from the community (aka farming) token supply, just like the farming yields. Yield farming is the process of seeking to offer or stake crypto assets to generate rewards or high returns in the form of additional cryptocurrency.
