What is Yield Guild Games (YGG)?

Yield Guild Games is a play-to-earn gaming league that brings players together through a blockchain-based economy to enable players to earn from playing NFT games. This DAO aims to develop a virtual world that optimizes its assets for increased utility and shares the profits with its token holders. DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) is a community-driven entity with no central authority. YGG has brought yield farming to game economies by combining NFT and DeFi systems to add value to both virtual worlds. Yield farming is a process of staking crypto assets and providing high returns as additional cryptocurrency. 

The vision is to build and own assets in the metaverse to increase the value of the guild members in the virtual environment. Metaverse is a digital platform combined with multiple aspects like online gaming, virtual reality, augmented reality, and cryptocurrencies to let users interact virtually. Further, YGG offers multiple activities like:

• Allowing the YGG community to vote or pass proposals to show engagement in the DAO.

• Producing revenue by trading or exchanging the YGG-owned NFT assets.

• Developing a community of play-to-earn participants who can compete to collect rewards in the games.

The whitepaper states that the value of the YGG is derived from the yield obtained from treasury assets, rewards achieved from raids, esports, sponsorships, treasury farming activities, subscription fees, and merchandise sales. The value of all the YGG activities is occupied in the diluted market capitalization of the governance tokens of YGG. 

YGG is the native utility and governance token of the Yield Guild Games platform. The YGG token is used for various purposes, such as:

• YGG tokens can be staked to get rewarded for overall activities and exclusive content to participate and vote in the DAO. 

• YGG can help users to pay for the services of the network.

• Staking YGG can offer a subscription to exclusive merchandise.

YGG is launching a subDAO to control a specific game's activities and assets. The subDAO acquires all the assets owned and managed by the YGG treasury via a multi-signature hardware wallet. A portion of the subDAO tokens can be proposed to the community.
