Name Change Token (NCT) is the native coin of the Hashmasks artwork platform. The NCT token’s sole purpose is to allow the token holders to give their Hashmasks artwork a unique name. The name is permanently stored and publicly visible on the Ethereum Blockchain. Every consumer’s preference for collectibles distinctly impacts the value hierarchy of the individual pieces of the collective art. The owner of a Hashmasks can claim the NCT tokens that NFT (non-fungible token) collects. Users can receive additional tokens by participating in the initial contribution period. 

Hashmasks is a platform of living digital art and collectibles created by more than 70 artists from around the globe. Users can accumulate NCT tokens daily by holding the unique artwork. The platform aims to allow users to access an unlimited, global, exclusive license to copy and display art for commercial use.

Hashmasks introduces a blend of digital art and collectibles with a value hierarchy set by both the creator and consumer of the artwork. Hashmasks has included two layers of scarcity: it provides a set of traits to offer general guidance to the consumer, and it creates many implicit traits not accounted for. The platform offers complete control over the name of the art to the consumer.

The platform envisions a cluster and attributes amongst Hashmasks that bring out a whole other dimension to the piece, entirely detached from the capabilities and intentions of the original artist. The life cycle of Hashmasks aims to evolve on the Ethereum network; it aims to bend and change its forms until the last NCT is burnt and the art piece is complete. Token burning is the removal of coins from circulation to reduce the token count.

The Hashmasks platform does not let users know what Hashmasks NFT they purchased for the first 14 days of the trade, which aims to guarantee a fair distribution. The smart contract allows users to assign a name to their Hashmasks, giving them the ability to add their unique stroke to the canvas. Hashmasks have a logical, coherent token model: an NFT that seeks to solve the issue of transparency and transfer of digital artwork and the NCT token that derives its value from allowing users to participate in the digital art.
