GENE is the native cryptocurrency of the Parkgene platform. Built on the ERC-20 architecture, GENE functions as a utility token. Users need GENE to pay the platform for using its services via the two platforms – PARKGENE and PARKGURU. Likewise, Parkgene intends to collect GENE tokens for all other services integrated on the platform. Users can also give away these tokens whenever they wish. 

Parkgene was officially launched in May 2018, while the initial whitepaper was launched in September 2017. Initial coin offering (ICO) for the GENE token was conducted in January 2018, and the Beta testing began in February 2018.
