Dope Wars is a fully community-driven, decentralized gaming metaverse project. The Metaverse is a public virtual world that may be accessed via the internet. The play-to-earn gaming project of Dope Wars is inspired by hip-hop culture. The project has unique fully customizable avatars.
The Dope Wars aims to bootstrap a modern-day GTA-inspired metaverse. The project has a series of games that are built by a decentralized game studio on the Ethereum blockchain. The games are inspired by the classic Drugwars game. Drugwars is a strategy and simulation-based blockchain game.
The open environment of Dope Wars allows contributors as well as developers to create limitless games for the Dope Wars NFT holders. Dope Wars is an ongoing NFT art project. The governance of the decentralized project uses a DAO. All of the revenue of the DOPE DAO treasury comes from royalties of NFT sales. To fund the DOPE DAO treasury Dope Wars established a 5 percent royalty payment on each NFT sale, held by the DAO until released by community vote.
The NFT community helped in the funding of the Dope Wars project by raising over USD one million in royalties over the first few weeks of sales. Each ERC-721 DOPE NFT provides the holders with an equal Governance Vote on Proposals from the DAO. ERC-721 is an open standard that describes how to build non-fungible tokens on the Ethereum blockchain.
The NFT holders can use the DOPE NFT to build a Hustler character to be used in the upcoming games. Hustlers are in-game characters in Dope Wars. Hustlers are fully-customizable characters. All Hustler artworks are stored on the blockchain.
$PAPER is the in-game currency of Dope Wars. $PAPER is an Ethereum ERC-20 token. PAPER tokens were originally distributed through a claimable amount of 125,000 per DOPE NFT. Each NFT facilitates a claim of 125,000 $PAPER. However, DOPE NFT does not allow for more than one claim.
