Pirates gain experience and level up from their adventures. PIRATE is the utility token of Pirate Nation. Players can earn PIRATE by participating in quests, tournaments, ecosystem building, and other Pirate Nation related activities. PIRATE can be converted into Pirate Nation’s non-transferable in-game token, GEMS. GEMS can be used for various gameplay-enhancing benefits, such as speeding up timers, purchasing resources and PGLD (in-game soft currency), changing a pirate’s or ship’s name, or playing Pirate Nation’s player vs. environment system, Endless Gauntlet.
