Players can earn PIRATE by participating in quests, tournaments, ecosystem building, and other Pirate Nation related activities. PIRATE can be converted into Pirate Nation’s non-transferable in-game token, GEMS. GEMS can be used for various gameplay-enhancing benefits, such as speeding up timers, purchasing resources and PGLD (in-game soft currency), changing a pirate’s or ship’s name, or playing Pirate Nation’s player vs. environment system, Endless Gauntlet.
