What Is Sidus Heroes (SIDUS)?

Sidus Heroes (SIDUS) is a WEBGL, AAA (highest possible rating) level, Play-to-earn, NFT, and MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game5) game that aims to combine the aspects of traditional gaming and Blockchain. WEBGL is a cross-platform API to create 3D graphics in an ordinary browser.

According to the SIDUS whitepaper, there are problems in the traditional gaming industry.

  1. Fraudulent Schemes - Many Blockchain-based gaming projects use fraudulent schemes and reduce the level of trust towards all blockchain-based projects. At first, the project grows and then collapses in the end. The token price of these projects decreases until they eventually reach zero.

  2. Lack of integration with other players - Many gaming plots and mechanics do not offer a sense of team spirit. This increases the chances of exiting the game. Thus, without social interaction, players either change projects or stop playing.

  3. Outdated devices - Due to the rapid developments in the gaming industry, some computer equipment quickly becomes outdated. Many new games can only be launched on certain hardware, which causes specific issues for developing and popularizing new products.

  4. Low quality of GameFi - The games currently presented by the GameFi industry possess poor quality and have unfinished storylines.

SIDUS addresses the issues and implements a play-to-earn model that gives ownership to the players and rewards them for playing and progressing through the game. SIDUS involves players from different backgrounds and pushes them to find common ground. Also, the platform involves high-level technological advancements for the players.

There are two native tokens of the platform: SIDUS (gaming token) and SENATE (the DAO or governance token).

SENATE is used to express political views and influence the metaverse's development. The utility of SENATE is:

  1. Political rights: Voting power is proportional to the number of tokens each user has.

  2. Game-changing content: SENATE is used to purchase items like plots of land, space ships, and station modules.

  3. Staking

SIDUS is in-game poker in which rewards are paid. The utility of SIDUS is

  1. In-game sales: With SIDUS, players can get in-game resources, tools, gear, weapons, and other consumables.

  2. Become one of the heroes: The purchase of heroes from the academy collection is made using SIDUS tokens.

  3. Staking
