UK entity CB Payments, Ltd. is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority in the United Kingdom, as an electronic money institution (registration number 900635). German entity Coinbase Germany GmbH is authorised by the German Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht (the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority) for crypto trading and custody services (registration ID 10158674). Irish entity Coinbase Ireland Limited is authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland as an electronic money institution (registration number C188493). Irish entity Coinbase Europe Limited is registered with the Central Bank of Ireland as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (registration number C455715). Irish entity Coinbase Custody International Limited is registered with the Central Bank of Ireland as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (registration number C455714). Irish entities Coinbase Europe Limited and Coinbase Custody International Limited are registered as crypto service providers with De Nederlandsche Bank (“DNB”), the Dutch Central Bank.  Coinbase Europe Limited’s registration number is R190530 and Coinbase Custody International Limited’s registration number is R190529.

Note: Coinbase Europe Limited and Coinbase Custody International Limited are listed in DNB’s public register as crypto service providers. DNB supervises Coinbase Europe Limited and Coinbase Custody International Limited in compliance with the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing Act (Wet ter voorkoming van witwassen en financiering van terrorisme — Wwft) and the Sanctions Act (Sanctiewet 1977 — Sw). The crypto services of Coinbase are not subject to prudential supervision by DNB or conduct supervision by the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets. This means that financial operational risks in respect of the crypto services are not monitored and there is no specific financial consumer protection.

Irish entities Coinbase Europe Limited and Coinbase Custody International Limited have completed phase 1 VASP Registrations with Organismo Agenti e Mediatori (Italy's authority for financial agents and brokers). Coinbase Europe Limited’s registration number is PSV34 and Coinbase Custody International Limited’s registration number is PSV33.
