Katana Inu is a blockchain-based integrated platform built on the Ethereumnetwork. The platform is powered by DeFi and NFT (non-fungible token) for gamers, traders, and artists. Katana Inu is a high-graphics PC play-to-earn gaming blockchain along with the native NFT marketplace for players and token holders to stake or trade in-game.

Instead of games being only a fun activity, players now desire financial gain from the online gaming industry—that's why the platform aims to create an entertaining and profitable experience for gamers. Moreover, with the advent of blockchain, gaming has no longer remained a centralized activity restricted to their original game developers owning these assets; that is, they lose their value once they pull the plug.

Also, the DeFi space has experienced almost 15 times growth up to 51 million USD of the value locked in DeFi projects from March 2020 onward. Further, the cryptocurrencygaming platform generated $137 billion in revenue in 2018, with a 13% increase over its previous year. That means investing in the crypto-gaming industry provides significant financial returns. Hence, to seize this opportunity, Katana Inu aims to create a high-end decentralized PC game that remits real value to its players. This play-to-earn game seeks to provide gamers an avenue to profit from investing their time and effort into a game by exchanging crypto tokens obtained in-game.

The platform helps drive innovation in the gaming sector by effectively combining traditional gaming and blockchain technology with NFTs. Players unlock the character's unique skill set and hidden abilities by completing particular challenges during gameplay. The in-game trading items involve the skins, weapons, etc. that are provided to the users along with other rewards. Besides this, the project has a limited NFT collection with over 10,000 NFTs for the community.

The system aims to produce real value for gamers and NFT owners by incentivizing the players and traders with discounts on the marketplace fee, NFTs, and items to participate and keep growing and evolving with the game.

KATA is a native token of the Katana Inu, which functions as the governing token for the entire platform, handling transactions both in-game and outside of the game (i.e., trading on the NFT marketplace). KATA is a utility token. Its core DeFi functionalities aim to be active staking via NFTs (play & stake), auto stakingrewards in ETH to holders, liquidity pool rewards, DEX listing, noncustodial wallet access via meta mask, and cross-game NFT utilities.

The project team includes Marwan H. as CEO and founder, Hamza S. as CAO, Tim B. as CTO, and Yezdan N. as marketing manager. The project also plans to build an online store providing Katana Inu-themed merchandise like T-shirts, hoodies, caps, mugs, etc. The project had a maximum total supply of 50,000,000,000 KATA.
