Participating in the Coinbase Singapore Chinese New Year 2025 Promotion (“Promotion”) constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). By participating in the Promotion, you represent and warrant you meet the eligibility requirements stated in these Terms and acknowledge that failure to meet all eligibility requirements will result in your disqualification.
1. Promotion Period: The Promotion begins on January 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM SGT, and the ending date has been extended from February 5, 2025 at 11:59 SGT to February 28, 2025 at 23:59 SGT.
2. Eligibility: The Promotion is open only to legal residents of Singapore who are at least eighteen (18) years of age or older as of January 22, 2025.
3. How to Enter: There are two ways to participate in the Chinese New Year 2025 promotion:
Offer A: S$88 in Bitcoin Welcome Bonus
This promotion is open to new users who do not have an existing Coinbase Singapore account as of 10:59 AM on January 22, 2025. To participate, users are required to complete these steps within the promotion period:
Create a Coinbase Singapore account by signing up with Singpass on the landing page (coinbase.com/campaigns/cny-2025) using the code “CNY2025”. Participants must successfully complete identity verification to be eligible.
Make a SGD deposit of any amount using PayNow or FAST transfers.
Make a first eligible crypto purchase of at least S$88 in value in a single transaction. Kindly note that USDC purchases are excluded from the first eligible crypto purchase if the purchase was made after February 5, 2025, 23:59 SGT.
Upon successful completion of the above steps, each eligible participant will receive a one-time reward of S$88 in Bitcoin by 7 March 2025 or earlier.
Offer B: S$88 in Bitcoin Referral Bonus
This promotion is open to existing Coinbase users who have a Coinbase Singapore account. To participate, users are required to complete steps within the promotion period:
Copy your personalised referral link on coinbase.com/invite and invite referrals to sign up using the unique referral link.
Referees are required to:
Sign up for a Coinbase account with Singpass on the referral link. (If they sign up outside of your referral link, you will not receive a referral.)
Make a SGD deposit of any amount via PayNow or FAST transfers.
Complete their first eligible crypto purchase of at least S$88 in a single transaction. Kindly note that USDC purchases are excluded from the first eligible crypto purchase if the purchase was made after February 5, 2025, 23:59 SGT.
Upon successful completion of the referral’s first eligible crypto purchase of at least S$88, both the referee and referrer will each receive S$88 in Bitcoin by 7 March 2025 or earlier. Valid for the first 100 eligible referrals per user. The referrer and referee may not receive the reward on the same time or day.
4. Reward restrictions and Fraud Prevention Measures: Each participant or referee is permitted to create only one Coinbase Singapore account using Singpass. Duplicate accounts, false registration, inflated trading, or other harmful or fraudulent actions (at our discretion) will not be eligible for additional rewards.
For example, in the event where the referee creates multiple accounts, the referrer and referee will only each receive one reward of S$88 in Bitcoin. No additional rewards would be distributed for the duplicate accounts.
5. Reward Fulfilment: All Bitcoin rewards will be transferred to eligible participants' Coinbase accounts by 10 February 2025 (if they had qualified by February 5, 2025, 23:59 SGT), or otherwise by March 7, 2025.
6. Additional terms
i. Limited redemptions of the Offers may apply. BTC rewards are available on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability.
ii. Promotion cannot be combined with other incentives, campaigns and promotions. Offers cannot be used in conjunction with each other, except that new users who sign up under Offer A are eligible to receive rewards as a referrer under Offer B.
iii. Purchases and trades of cryptocurrency on Coinbase Pro or Prime Broker are not eligible.
iv. Coinbase reserves the right to revoke any offer at its sole discretion
v. Coinbase reserves the right to change the terms, eligibility criteria, and payouts for all offers at any time, for any reason.
vi. Void where prohibited or if Coinbase determines that the customer is not eligible for the offer.
vii. Value of cryptocurrency reward determined by Coinbase at the time of deposit.
viii. Your reward may increase or decrease in value after it's deposited into your account as a result of market developments, legal and regulatory developments, or other factors affecting the cryptocurrency industry.
ix. All new user accounts are subject to internal policy reviews, and upon such review, Coinbase reserves the right to withhold the incentive payout for any reason, at its sole discretion.
This Promotion is subject to and governed by the Coinbase User Agreement and the Terms included on this page.
Disclosure
The value of Bitcoin is volatile and may fluctuate significantly. There is a risk that Bitcoin could lose value, potentially even all of its value, when buying, selling, or holding the prize.
During the promotion, Coinbase will monitor participant activity to prevent misconduct, including account duplication, false registration, inflated trading, or any fraudulent or harmful actions. Participants violating campaign rules or regulations may be disqualified from rewards.
