About US 500 Perpetual
The US500 Index Perp Style Futures contract allows traders to manage risk, trade on margin, or speculate on the price of the MarketVector Top 500 US Profitable Companies Index (MVUS5P). This contract incorporates a funding rate mechanism to keep the futures prices closely aligned with the price of the index. Perpetual-style futures contracts also enjoy the 60/40 tax treatment, where 60% of the gains are taxed as long-term capital gains and 40% as short-term capital gains, regardless of the holding period.
This contract is available to trade on Coinbase Derivatives Exchange (CDE).Trading is available from Sunday at 8 PM ET until Friday at 5 PM ET. Markets are closed on market trading holidays.Contract Details
