We’re looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to join our front office team within the Enterprise Applications and Architecture (EAA) Organization. This role will assist our EAA product and engineering teams in driving cross-functional alignment across our supported business units in order to deliver large-scale strategic initiatives.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing a variety of stakeholder relationships to identify thematic business problems and translate into new strategic programs. You will work alongside stakeholders and EAA Product Managers to execute on programs and ensure that all engineering teams have clear guidance on our objectives and priority. You will be a voice and representative of EAA driving the completion of these efforts with high visibility from senior leadership. Finally, you will lay the groundwork for building EAA’s arm in technical program management by developing new processes, tools, and frameworks with input from others within the organization.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

  • Lead large scale operational programs that can encompass both back office and front office applications at Coinbase.
  • Be the champion for operational excellence in our enterprise organization by understanding process problems, delivering strategic recommendations, and driving toward impactful solutions.
  • Develop positive relationships with external collaborators to align on company-wide and business unit-wide OKRs, steer intake and planning of projects to meet those objectives, and acquire ongoing support of your programs.
  • Help drive headcount and funding with leadership to complete projects and ongoing support of established programs.
  • Establish or optimize program and project management processes that can be easily adopted by any of our enterprise application teams.
  • Set data-driven goals, align cross-functional teams, drive accountability, and complete internal and external-facing releases.
  • Build executive-level artifacts that can include program updates, project release plans, program roadmaps, milestone mapping, and calls for action using input from team members, Product Managers, and Engineering Managers.
  • Supervise program status, identify issues and risks to delivery, clearly communicate to internal and external stakeholders, and proactively collaborate with DRIs to ensure timely resolution.

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

  • 6+ years of operations experience for product, engineering, or back office teams in both program and project management capacity
  • Experience working at a tech company or a track record of launching new programs with ambiguous problems, little context, and filling in project and environment gaps iteratively
  • Can walk the line between setting project milestones and dates while remaining agile during project and program execution
  • Can operate without process, and establish scalable foundations as we march towards milestones
  • Able to prioritize multiple stakeholders and priorities simultaneously
  • Clear communicator able to drive anything from high impact decision making with executives and tactical scoping sessions with technical resources
  • Ability to use data to advise and support critical decisions and make recommendations

Nice to haves:

  • Solid understanding of enterprise software and applications
  • Certification in program management (PgMP) or Project Management (PMP)
  • Experience with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Compliance, Finance, and/or Legal-based projects
  • People management experience
  • You are knowledgeable and passionate about cryptocurrency and blockchain.
  • Understanding of Google productivity apps (G Suite), Slack, Jira
