In this role, you'll serve as an early leader of Coinbase’s Pricing team. You’ll be a part of a group working to shape Coinbase’s pricing strategy across its products, taking into account our users’ needs, our product strategy, competitive dynamics, and Coinbase’s near and long-term business objectives. You will partner with product and engineering leaders to develop, test and implement pricing recommendations across the organization. Successful candidates for this position will be highly logical thinkers, and curious learners, preferably with broad experience in pricing (B2B and B2C) for both existing and new products.

Job responsibilities:

  • Structure complex and ambiguous strategic pricing problems for the Coinbase leadership team
  • Define clear hypotheses to identify new opportunities, and build business cases and quantitative models that will inform and influence pricing strategy 
  • Partner with product leadership, using data and insight to define pricing changes, design experiments, and implement those changes across our retail consumer and institutional products
  • Develop a deep understanding of our peer and competitor positioning to inform your recommendations
  • Contribute to improving our pricing capabilities by enhancing existing processes and recruiting and developing new team members

Job requirements:

  • BA / BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of experience at a top-tier management consulting firm, including pricing experience
  • Strong quantitative skills (with statistics, modeling, and/or SQL a plus)
  • Outstanding executive-level verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion for solving complex problems, and building scalable processes
  • Comfort working in a high growth, constantly changing environment

Nice to haves:

  • Experience shaping B2C or B2B pricing for new and existing products
  • Industry pricing experience in the tech and/or financial services space
