Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack

There have been reports of a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack targeting the bitcoin ecosystem. Many transactions are being broadcast on the network which will never confirm, and this is causing some legitimate transactions to be delayed.

In short — funds on Coinbase are safe, send and receive functionality is still working, but some transfers are delayed. There is some possibility customers will see what appears to be a double transaction in their account view, but this is purely visual and should be cleared up within a few hours.
