Coinbase Launches $25 Referral Bonus

Our goal at Coinbase is to be the easiest place to buy and sell bitcoin. To that end, we’ve decided to give our referral program a serious shot in the arm. Coinbase users can now earn $25 of free bitcoin for every user they refer to Coinbase who buys $100 or more of bitcoin.

To earn the referral bonus of 25 USD (or 25 EUR or 25 GBP depending on where you’re located), you can copy your referral link from the referrals page.

Your link will look like this:

https://www.coinbase.com/join/YOUR_REFERRAL_ID

You can actually link to any page on Coinbase (for example the homepage or buy bitcoin page) by adding ?r=YOUR_REFERRAL_ID to the end of any link to www.coinbase.com (other subdomains will not work). Here is an example link that will work:

https://www.coinbase.com/buy-bitcoin?r=YOUR_REFERRAL_ID

If someone clicks your link and signs up for Coinbase within 90 days, you will be credited as the referrer for that customer. If the customer buys $100 USD or more of bitcoin on Coinbase at any point in the future, we will send you $25 of bitcoin.
